We are a volunteer-based organization. Without the countless hours given by generous volunteers, we would not be able to serve our community as God has called us. We pray that the Lord would lay on your heart a desire to serve the people of West End Bowling Green through our ministries.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

  • Class Instructor (Jobs for Life, Faith & Finances, Powered for Life, 24/7 Dad, Program Living):
There are many opportunities to serve as a class instructor with us here at Hope House. We offer several development classes that are open to the community as well as to our Program Living residents. For more information, please complete the volunteer application and Joe Harbin, our Director of Community Development will contact you.

Champion (Jobs for Life, Faith & Finances, Powered for Life, 24/7 Dad, Program Living):
If instruction is not your desire but you would like to be a part of our development classes, then being a Champion is for you. Our Champions serve as support to the class instructors. They are present to assist individuals in the class with certain tasks such as writing a resume, creating an email account, discussions and other classroom projects.

    Community Store Assistant:
Our volunteers at our community store are really the backbone of this enterprise. They assist our associates with collecting donations, sorting and hanging donations, running the cash register, keeping the floor clean and organized and also sharing the gospel with the community.

    Office Staff Assistant:
Many clerical needs present themselves and our volunteers are a huge help in aiding the completion of many tasks. There are opportunities to answer the phones, make copies, fold and stuff envelopes, data entry, janitorial duties and writing thank you notes.

    Marketing Assistant:
We have several opportunities throughout the year to assist our marketing department in fundraising activities. If you would like more information on how you can help, please complete the volunteer application and Casey Hammons, our Director of Marketing and Communications, will contact you.

    Event Sponsor:
Hope House has two major fundraising events a year, Cook for Hope and Swing for Hope. If you, your organization, church or company would like to be one of our title sponsors, please email our Director of Marketing and Communications at casey@hopehousebg.com.

    Landscape and Gardening:
Spring and fall cleanup at our Main office location and recovery homes is a great way for those who love to be outside to help.

    Seasonal Decorating:
Use your talents to help spread holiday cheer at Hope House! How about donating some decorations for one of our buildings to spice it up for the holiday season?

    Upkeep and Maintenance:
With normal operations, a few housekeeping duties are sometimes left behind. If you love to clean and organize, then this is a great way you can serve to help our ministry. From cleaning, painting, organizing storage space and donations to moving furniture; we have many opportunities available.

  • Serve a Meal (Program Living):
You or your group can serve a meal to our Program Living Residents. This is an amazing opportunity to visit with, share and develop relationships with the men and women in our 12 month recovery program. You will need to sign up to serve at one of the facilities and specify what night you would like to serve.
